Back Propagation Definition

Back Propagation is a widely used algorithm in machine learning, especially in the training of artificial neural networks. It calculates the gradient of a loss function with respect to the network’s weights, allowing for adjustments that minimize errors in predictions. This iterative optimization technique updates the weights by moving "backwards" from the output layer through hidden layers to the input, fine-tuning the network to improve accuracy with each epoch.
